Drug License

Drug License is mandatory to do business in Drugs & Cosmetics in India. The provisions for this has been made in Drugs & Cosmetics Act, 1940 which is applicable to whole of India. It is an Act to consolidate all the laws relating to drugs & cosmetics, which established the Drugs Control Department. In 1964, the Act was amended to include Ayurvedic & Unani drugs. Documents required for Drug License

1)Photo ID (for proprietorship firms).
2)Scanned PDF of the partnership deed and the receipt of the Registration fee paid to the Registrar of Companies (for partnership firms).
3)Documents of Trust Registration issued by the charity commissioner.
4)Letter from the Head of Department of the Government.
5)List of the Proprietor/Partner/Director/Trustee, etc.
6)Proof of Identity of the concerned applicants.
7)Rental/Lease agreement of the proposed premise (conditions apply).
8)Proof of Ownership of the premise.
9)No Objection Certificate (for Societies, residential premises leased by CIDCO, MHADA or similar Government/Semi Government Agencies).
10)Electricity bill of the premises.
11)Proof of installation of Cold Storage facilities.
12)Appointment letter and acceptance letter of the pharmacist, along with his/her residential proof.
13)Registration Certificate (for retail license).
14)Self-declaration of the pharmacist (for retail license).
15)Qualification Certificate (for Whole Sale License).
16)Experience Certificate of the Pharmacist (for Whole Sale License).
